President Pezeshkian Demands 3 Things to Stop War.
The Iranian President Pezeshkian has been speaking about the three things that the country wants to stop the war. Firstly, Iran's legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and a firm international guarantee that the country won't be attacked in the future. Mr. Pezeshkian said he had been speaking to President Putin and Shabaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Underlining Iran's commitment to peace. Mr. Pezeshkian personally thanked Russia for standing by his nation in the war. Russia has called for a "de-escalation" of the conflict. Russia has supplied Iran with humanitarian aid as the war has unfolded.

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp Leads Charge on Starmer's Iran War Stance.
The Iran War has to be one of the most dangerous and unnecessary wars this century so far. Trump has changed the narrative of why he and his partner in crime, Netanyahu, attacked Iran. First, it was to liberate the Iranian people. Then Iran's support for Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, etc. Then it's Iran enriching uranium and its ballistic missile programme. Since the war began, the Ayatollah Khamenei has been assassinated along with top military commanders. His son is now the new Ayatollah. A girl's school has been bombed, with 100 or so schoolgirls sent to Allah. Iran's infrastructure has been hit hard, as has its military and government. If they bombed the Founder of the Islamic Republic's mausoleum, Ayatollah Khomeini, it wouldn't surprise me. It seems the Americans and Israelis are hitting anything and everything across Iran. Similar to the levelling of Gaza by the IDF. Hundreds of Iranians have been killed and injured, civilian and military alike.

Labour Minister: We Are Back to The Future.
I have often thought that Russia being bogged down in Ukraine making incremental gains against a stubborn Ukraine defence is similar to when Japan was bogged down in China before the Second World War fighting the Chinese Nationalist forces for little gain. Yes, the Japanese like Russia now made some gains in captured territory. But at a huge cost to both sides like Russia and Ukraine now. In that respect history is repeating itself where another country invades and expects a victory to be in the enemy capital very soon, much like how US forces captured Baghdad in 2003. However, for Japan in China then and for Russia in Ukraine now that didn't/hasn't happened. Both Japan in China then and Russia in Ukraine now ended up in a slog fest with total victory out of sight.

Trump Touts Third Term.
Trump must be one of the most boastful men on Earth. In his dreams, he probably sees himself as Superman, not unlike that Spitting Image puppet of Ronald Reagan in the 80s, a Genesis video "Land of Confusion" where Reagan rides a Triceratops putting everything right. In the video, Reagan is dressed as Superman and a cowboy. He wakes up next to his wife Nancy and realises it was all an illusional dream. Strange irony, really, as Trump has a picture of Ronald Reagan in the Oval Office. And we know while Trump doesn't literally think he is Reagan come again (although that wouldn't surprise me!), he is certainly an admirer of Reagan.

Iran Wants Deal Apparently!!!
Protests have flared up again over the weekend in Iran. As the university term started, students gathered on campuses to protest the regime and show their support for it. This time, these protests are not as great as the ones in January. Some thought the clerical regime could be swept away as the Shah's regime was in 1979, which led to the rise of the Ayatollahs.

It seems the chickens have come home to roost, as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, or AMW, was taken into custody. Unmarked police cars arrived along with 8 plainclothes police officers. The Duke of York recently moved to Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate from Windsor.

Reform Unofficial Cabinet Full of Ex-Conservatives.
Nigel Farage has announced his top team, or to put it another way, the unofficial opposition. Nigel Farage has said himself, with his party's poll ratings sky high, that his party, with 8 MPs (if I am not mistaken), might as well be the official opposition to Sir Keir's Labour government. Currently, the reality is, of course, that the Conservatives are the official opposition. However, with fewer than 121 MPs now, thanks to Tory defections to Reform UK, Kemi Badenoch's party, according to the polls, is in the doldrums.

Sir Keir Condemns Reform UK and The Green Party.
Sir Keir Starmer made a speech in Munich. The objects of his ire were his political rivals, Reform UK and the Green Party. The fact that the Conservatives did not come under fire says one thing: he doesn't regard them as a threat anymore, or at least, not right now. Mr. Starmer has his eye on the Gorton and Denton seat that some polls say his Labour Party may lose. Zack Polanski of the Greens and Nigel Farage of Reform have been campaigning hard to make sure it is their candidates being returned as the MPs for this area and not Labour's.

No doubt about it, the Jeffrey Epstein files have blown up in so many people's faces. Whether it be former Prince Andrew or former President Bill Clinton. Even Trump had links to the notorious underage trafficker. But so far, Trump seems to have sailed through unscathed with no dirt on him. Who else will be implicated with links to Epstein?

The World of Work, Welfare, and Retirement is Outdated.
In 2026, we are still stuck in a 1950s mentality of the idea of work. When it comes to welfare, we are also stuck in that mentality and also when it comes to retirement. Let me make it clear, I have nothing against work or people working. I am not for no one working at all, whatever your trade or profession is. However, when it comes to work, we are stuck in a very old -fashioned way of looking at work. Unless you are on a high-salary job, for most of us, we go to a mundane job while earning mundane wages. Work has become more stressful, where we are told we have to work not only to keep the lights on, but also to put food on the table. But that's not the only thing ads say we must possess the latest car, the latest electronic gadget, we must live in a certain neighbourhood. We work our backsides off to maintain a materialistic lifestyle, and for what? With retirement rising, some of us may never get to enjoy our twilight years.

Squid Game Executions.
Why is Squid Game called Squid Game? When no apparent squid, real or otherwise, is featured. What I have seen of the game is just a load of hapless South Koreans being shot at by a giant doll. Those who can get through win a huge sum of money. Of course, it is just a concept, a drama, where poor people are encouraged to take part to win this money. Though fictional, the concept of people taking part in a game where most of them will die to win a large amount of money for entertainment is morally questionable to me. However, like Traitors in the UK, also with a morally questionable agenda, the show is watched by millions around the world.
