Tired of being Tired

Of being tired

By Gabriel ShamesPublished about 15 hours ago 1 min read
What I see happening, that I won’t see

I feel my eyelids, each one the weight of a golf ball. I’m standing up, trying to work… at my eyes are fighting me more than my brain.

Scratch that, they’re both fighting me. When my eyes close, my head will drop. When my head drops, then the rest of me will go.

I got more sleep last night. An amount I thought was sufficient. Why am I here again? The same place as yesterday… the same spot, same feeling.

Feeling of tiredness. It comes and goes, but why won’t it leave me alone?

I’m starting to think - when it comes to sleep - sufficient isn’t enough.

This time change and waking up when it is dark drags me down. I usually sleep about 8 hours a night but since the time change, I am only sleeping about 6 hours a night.
