Dinner Party

Roll out the tablecloth, polish the old silverware, and imagine you're the host with the most, planning your ultimate dinner party. All the details are in your hands: the guests, food, music, decor, and entertainment – it's all up to you.

Most importantly, we want to know who's on the guest list. Who are the special people who will get an invitation? Your party guests can be dead or alive, real or made up, famous or not! Tell us why you chose this list of guests to invite, and don't be shy sharing all the details: What would you serve them? Is there a theme? How do you plan to set the mood? For your story to be eligible, it must be between 600 and 5,000 words and adhere to our Community Guidelines. Stories published on Vocal and entered into the contest up until September 24, 2020, at 11:59 PM EST will be entered for consideration. Official Rules for the Challenge can be found here.
